GETTING HERE

You can get to Eriskay by travelling on the ferry to South Uist from Mallaig or you can travel via Skye to North Uist and drive one hour south. Vehicle reservations are recommended on these routes. Caledonian Macbrayne are the ferry operators on these routes.

There are many different routes that will take you to the Outer Hebrides, here are the various ferry options:

  • Castlebay (Barra) from Oban

​

  • Lochboisdale (Uists) from Mallaig

​

  • Lochmaddy (Uists) from Uig (Skye)

​

  • Tarbert (Harris) from Uig (Skye)

​

  • Stornoway (Lewis) from Ullapool

Flights to Benbecula, which are just under an hour, are also available from from Inverness or Glasgow. However, there would still be an hour drive down to Eriskay via car/bus.

Loganair is the only flight operator to the islands.
